I have always been and always shall be a Kinks fan...
I love face to face and muswell hillbillies and low budget and sleepwalker, and the list goes on all day and all of the night...
Jimmy Page may have helped with some of their early guitar solos but they were always a great band.
I saw them live in 1980 and they killed, they did 4 encores and kept asking the audience "where you goin' ? wanna hear another one" and we did and they played it.
PEACE :heybaby:

A Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy by The Kinks.
Sometimes it sounds a little like me.

Theres a guy in my block, he lives for rock
He plays records day and night
And when he feels down, he puts some rock n roll on
And it makes him feel alright
And when he feels the world is closing in
He turns his stereo way up high

Loved the Kinks. Lots of great riffs. I remember watching an episode of the Sopranos a few years ago and they played "Living on a thin line" as part of the show. It was chilling to hear in that setting. Awesome stuff.

My favourite is Something Else but most Kinks fans will agree that Village Green Preservation Society, Arthur and Something Else are their best albums.

I've never heard anything from The Kinks outside of the hits:

You Really Got Me

and

Lola

which I think are really good!

I love 'Weird Al's spoof of Lola as well!

Yoda :lmao:

Out of the songs embedded here I tried to give them more of a listen and besides liking Sunny Afternoon a little I don't think they are a group I could get into extensively!
