My sister has everything Celine ever recorded, I have tried to no avail to turn her from the Dark Side, but she is a lost cause. I console myself by Knowing I have impeccable taste in this realm.

Don't like Fergie either CP/M, but I am not sure she can take Celine's title either...I will have a cold beverage or two and think about it.

I knew a guy who took that Fergie song because they hated it so much and actually made it sound better and funnier cause they would make it sound so fake in the way they would make Fergie sound. But I think it was Whitney Houston which started all that horrible female falsetto when they did that song for The Bodyguard back in the early 90s - which was a Dolly Parton song. I mean yes I'm totally being sexist, though I can only assume that people like that kind of sound for that brand of music to continue - personally I just can't handle it - sorry!

^^I tend to agree, I can't stand the warbling histrionics for their own sake, like Whitney and Maria both do to excess, just showing off. I say if you want to show off, sing an opera, that is where that kind of singing fits perfectly, with No amplification either.

Speaking of warbling/twittering, Dolly Parton adds some dreadful warbling/twittering to her original take on "I Will Always Love You":

Man this is a tough one....Gotta say Brittney Spears takes the cake on this one...I've never been able to stand her from her (so called) innocent phase to the dirty girl phase she is currently in.

I am also appalled at someone when I ask them why the listen to stuff like that and they say "She's hot, what are you gay or something?"...So offensive, I listen to music for the way it sounds, not how the singer looks....Some people's kids....

This heifer is the very worst out there right now. Her voice is forgettable, her choice of material is execrable and it takes a livestock crane to move her from appearance to appearance. I'd take Celine by a mile over this one:
