^^I'd take Jungleland in that one TS...although Appetite...is the only GnR album I own and like.;)

Bruce of course.

Indeed, though unfortunately that strategy could very easily backfire Jackie, and he could easily end up being owned in the polls!! What seems an epic boss song to Bruce fanatics who understand him, can apparently sound pretty awful to most other people, believe me I have friends who love rock music their whole lives but who would vote to have root-canal above listening to a Boss album. Maybe I'm wrong but I'd shudder to see what happens if Jungleland went up here against Welcome to the Jungle!!!

Well, I pity those people. And I guarantee you, most of them never gave it a really good listen and just have this predisposed misconception. Too bad for them.

And ok, maybe not his epic songs, but at least Badlands or Out In The Street or Pink Cadillac. Eh, it doesn't matter anyway. Let's just keep it with Dancing In The Dark type songs. I mean how could Bruce go up against the super groups anyway. In his own words from his speech yesterday...he sucks! But then how does he have so many fans? :bonk:

Anyone ever wonder where white folk got a bad rap for their (in)ability to dance?! Anyone that lived through the 80's saw people dancing like this all the time. it's almost embarrassing.

Well yeah we all did it, it's like John Travolta never existed. I take it you're one of those unfortunate 'root-canal over 'Born in the USA' guys then Lynch?

Bruuuuuce

As a side note: Can someone start picking Bruce's epic songs for these polls? There's more to The Boss than Dancing In The Dark and Glory Days. :bonk:
Yes...BUT his "epic" songs are better IMO than some of his contemporaries within his niche or genre. I am aware of his BODY of work and I'm not just all about the "sexy" riffs. :) Then again, who do you match his against to begin with?

Very true...he's in a category all his own. ;)

Actually, quite the opposite when it comes to Springsteen. Aside from Dancing in the Dark which I stopped liking after the 1000th time I heard it, otherwise Born in the USA is easily my favorite album from Bruce. I know I'm in the minority of people when it comes to that opinion but aside from a couple of songs here and there from his earlier work (prior to BITUSA), I don't care for the guy.... and I don't think I've liked a single thing he's done after BITUSA.

Also, the only song of his that gets a retarded amount of airplay that I dislike more than Dancing ... (read that as loathe) would be the title track from Born To Run. If I never ever heard that again, it'd be too soon. In THAT case, I'd take the root canal.
