10.LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY March '68 jam session featuring Jim Morrison.
Is this the one where Jim is all drunk blurting out oscenities? I always wondered if there was anything good on that one. I really like that sort of thing but the part I heard was more unintentional comedy than anything else.

I have one of the five-hundred picture discs.

JIMI sounds 'straight & coherent' (surprisingly) it's JIM MORRISON thats sounds drunk and who is screaming obscenities and slurring his vocals into the stage mic!!. :oyea:

This recording was made at the SCENE CLUB in NEW YORK CITY in March 1968 and was apparently one of the first HENDRIX boot-leg tapes to make it onto the market back in the early 1970s and has been released under many different names since that time including SKY HIGH, HIGH, LIVE & DIRTY and WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND FOUND MYSELF DEAD amongst many others.

On most record covers that this recording appears in it also states that JOHNNY WINTER is also featured on the record a claim that JOHNNY has denied taking part in, JOHNNY claimed in an interview that quotes him saying- "I've never met JIM MORRISON in my life." There is a 2nd guitar heard in the background which possibly could be that of RICK DERRINGER because a couple of the McCOYS band are also credited as being on this recording?.

Like i previously posted JOHNNY WINTER said in an interview that he don't remember this jam and also claimed that he had 'never' met JIM MORRISON in his life.

RANDY Z drums (Rick Derringer's brother) and RANDY JO HOBBS bass guitar from the McCOYS are also credited which would probably indicate that the 2nd guitar featured is more likely that of RICK DERRINGER who was also in the McCOYS at the sametime and all three musician's were the SCENE CLUB'S 'House band' at that time.

If you look close at the product info, you will see the cheaper one has only one CD and one DVD, whereas the more expensive set has the full 4 CD's and the DVD.
