How about the Britpop revolution.

Beginning with the madchester Stone Roses and turning into the Britpop
revolution with Suede and Blur along with Oasis, The Verve, Supergrass and Super Furry Animals.
Yeah, I liked the 90's Britpop wave that happened, mostly at least like:
The Stone Roses, Oasis, The Verve and Supergrass.
Suede and Blur were not my cup of tea, tho.....yeckkkkkkkk :p

What I like about Oasis and what made the band in the first place is the retro British rock sound they had and still have.
Yes, there are a lot of remininces of Harrison and the rest of the Beatles in their music but I gotta say, what GREAT vocal and guitar melodies in those Frickin songs!!!

The most exciting thing I can think of is the Indie revolution and the increasing numbers of female artists. The surgence of popularity for Indie bands started in the early 90's and hasn't stopped since. Female artists are now more accepted than ever. You see alot of female fronted bands and bands that are totally female.

Rage Against The Machine IMO owned the ninties. They were a true 90's band from the beginning of the 90's till the end

Sublime was my favorite band in the 90's.
When I think of that time all I can think about is when punk was good (NOFX, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake, Flogging Molly, Rancid, etc.)
I definitely remember the excitement when Nirvana and Green Day and Weezer offered rock something besides the hair bands of the late 80's. :puke:
