Yield (1998)
Binaural (2000)
Riot Act (2002)

Ten is one of my favorite albums. I was addicted when I first heard the album and still love listening to it. I've kept up with Pearl Jam over the years and I'm glad they are touring. Anyone else like them?

Re: anyone like Pearl Jam

Alive is my favorite... I saw them play it in honor of The Stones drummer when the opened for The Stones a couple weeks ago! It was excellent.

To me Pearl Jam is one of the many casualties of my fractured brain. I love their style and I love their stuff and I listen to them a lot but they lack something or other to make me a real fan. Another time, another place, we could have been good together.

Pearl Jam..

I like them with their newest sounds/songs, but I hate how they have become a political band. Thats so Rage Against the Machine. I'm just tired of all the political nonesense really. Just write songs about your screwed up/great life, not politics.

Re: Pearl Jam..

I like Eddie's politics as of late. Politics in music is one of the last things I'd support (since ANYTHING is a better topic than politics, politics are so goddamn devoid of any intellect at all) BUT Eddie appears to very sincerely believe it and at least he tells people just to go out there and find answers for themselves, be "informed".

I absolutely adore World Wide Suicide. There's just something so cool about the way the song swaggers. It might even be my favorite PJ song. I love the way Eddie's vocals sound on it.

Their story tellers show kicked butt.

As for PJ in general I do like them quite a lot but I rarely listen to them. When I listen to them to truly enjoy it I have to listen to every single word and get the whole story in. If I'm not concentrating on them then PJ is lost on me.

Well, don't get me wrong, I like them still, I always have. Just nowadays, they are more open about being a polictal band then they were in the 80's.

VS is a pretty decent album although Ten is the best, IMO.

Pearl Jam is one of those bands that started of with a terrific sound then went down hill with each release. Although, someone must like them, they are still rockin' .

Has anyone listened to "Backspacer" released September 20, 2009?

Re: Pearl Jam

Ten was a great album, but after that only a few songs from each release stood out. Yellow Ledbetter was great too, too bad they made it a B-side instead of releasing it on the album

Magic, I buy every Pearl Jam release that comes out except for the 1,000 live albums they dropped. I may not listen to Backspacer for hours I'm so relieved to see a Pearl Jam album that had more life than the dreck that was Binaural and Riot Act! I see no problem with the poppier side at all! Why not? It's a transition at least! This is the best c.d. since Yield for me!

I like this track:

Unthought Known
