for all of you haters out there, you SHOULD just go out and buy the KISS Toilet. Then you can shit on Gene's open pie hole every single day.

;)

That would require forking money out and contributing to KISS which is pointless if I am a 'hater'
My posts are purely in jest dude lol

They should sell KISS tables, maybe then I would finally see something comical about them.

Hey I know they have alot of merch and I don't buy any of it.

I do own cool stuff form the actual 70's. I still have the original comic books, bubble gum cards original complete set, on tour game, Destroyer Jigsaw Puzzle, colorforms, some old notebooks, lots of magazines (but those don't count as "merch"),.......

...Hey the bottom line is this. Do they go overboard on the merch? At times yes...I know Ace Frehley was never thrilled by alot of it...but still they are not the only band to go a bit overboard on the merchandise. Many respected artists have truckloads of merchandise.

It's just that KISS has more. Like many superhero figures such as Spiderman and Batman, to iconic movies/T.V. shows like Star Wars, Star Trek, Simpsons, Indiana Jones...or whatever...their iconic face paint and images easily lent itself to more merchandising than any band could ever dream of.

Are other artists jealous? Some probably not, some probably. I don't believe for one second that if any artist was given the chance to do the same that they would turn it down (unless it was to look cool).

You can't hate Gene for being one of the richest rock stars of all time, but there is one sure way to fight it. Don't buy it. It goes away until the next idea hits the market.

However...these iconic images are here to stay and they are plastered everywhere all across this huge earth of ours.

To be perfectly honest I don't even really care what merch they sell, I just hoped you or someone picked up on that pun. :heheh:

Good Lord it Never Ends...:bonk:

No interest in any of Kiss's crap merchandise, but reading all these comments was worth the price of admission.:oyea:

On the Music side of things, I have just picked up 5 Essential KISS albums on vinyl recently, and they all sound better than any of the CD versions I've listened to.:rs:

LG? You know what. Gene deserves the crap he has to take on the merch issue. As I pointed out...Ace was never to thrilled on the overkill there.

But hey if it makes him happy. I stopped getting crazy with the merch when I was 14. I'm excited about a new album. That does me just fine. :grinthumb
