Some songs that I really liked.

This American heavy metal group was first introduced to me a few months back by my best mate. I picked up the Sacrament album recently and thought it was an enjoyable listen.
I do plan to grab more albums of this band in future, nice heavy music and I love the harsh vocals too. Not everyone's cup of tea but they certainly are mine.

I've been kind of on the fence with these guys. Always wondered if they would be a good fit into my collection or not. The used store I shop at has CD's by them that I pick up and look at from time to to time.

Seeing you're just getting into them, this is a great thread for new fans, guys like me trying to make up my mind on them, and the die hards as well.

I did see them live on Ozzfest main stage and I enjoyed their set. :grinthumb

Lamb of God are incredible. I've seen them twice, once with Metallica, and once at Ozzfest. They perform just as well live as they do in the studio. Wrath and Sacrament are probably the two albums I prefer from them.

I could listen to a lot of their music, but that dude on the microphone is easily the biggest and probably the only real turnoff I have for this band.

Here's an example of a tune that is cool as hell (musically), but the 'vocals' ruin it the second he opens his mouth

The vocalist takes some adjusting, he was one of the first vocalists I heard that had that heavy metal growl sound. The band itself is how I was introduced to the genre altogether, so I still enjoy their music from time to time. I used to have their Wrath album, it's a pretty great release imo. I need to get it again though.

The vocals are a major part of why I love the band.

Lamb of God, old Lamb of God is fantastic. IMO Wrath is very average stuff. It's not bad, but it's nothing great. Honestly, I was kinda disappointed by Wrath. Sacrament is better than Wrath, but I still don't think it's anything super special. If you want their best stuff, go to Ashes of the Wake. That is their best album. As stated above, the guitar on that album is just unbelievable. It's classic riff after classic riff. One after another. The songs are odd, but constructed well. Nothing is better than Ashes. And ...As the Palaces Burn is fantastic as well.

My top 3 Lamb records
1. Ashes
2. Palaces
3. Sacrament
