The music they made with Mercury is still alive and well in my opinion. I agree that Queen won't be the same without Mercury, but that doesn't mean their music will seize to gain more fans.

I won't argue with that. Their music has certainly stood the test of time. I just won't care about any new material they record or consider their live show to legitimately be Queen.

I can definitely understand that. With this as an example, i'll be open minded about it and give it a listen. But there's no chance that I will place this above anything Queen have released prior.

A big 'NO' from me! I don't mind Lady Gaga, there's a few tracks by her I really like, but fronting Queen... just can't see it working. I didn't even care for Paul Rodgers singing with them and Paul, imo, has one of the best voices around. I agree with MP, George Michael would be a better choice - I've never been a fan of his, and when he first strolled on stage to sing with Queen at Freddie's tribute concert I thought it was going to be a disaster, but I was left gobsmacked at how good they sounded together!

yes ,agree with you Tray on all points..my bf saw Paul with his kids few years ago..he just wanted to see Brian , and said was ok ..Paul did a fine job..but it was ehhhhh nothing special

I long felt of all the possible fronts for Queen, George Michaels voice quality is somewhat closer and gives both Queen and Freddie's legend the dignity that they deserve.while adding something fresh to it..

I am NOT a fan of GaGa ..I DON'T like her music and I don't like her,however i would at least consider it if i felt she could pull it off but i really see no reason it would work. I know she hero worships QUEEN Freddie,Brian,,has worked with Brian on some tracks..which I guess is nice for her. I hero worship them and can sing ,but that DOESN'T mean I'm suited for fronting QUEEN ?

but she doesn't demonstrate the quailty in her voice,dignity,or even class that Freddie had..the only thing i see is the flamboyant nature of her performances..and it's kinda insulting to me as a fan ..

Freddie is not replaceable..but there are some who can at least get it close..Lady Gaga ? nope !
