No problem fever.

That video footage is horrifying. I feel very badly for the families that have suffered losses. Such a sad turn of events.

I know it is very sad.I was at a Styx/Def Leppard concert a few years ago when a storm hit and we were on the hill getting hit with hail. There was thunder and lightning. The show was cancelled. This was an amphitheatre, where the stage probably wouldn't collapse but other things were blown over.

The video freaks me out a bit because I actually was in the front row at an outdoor B-52's concert during a downpour a few years ago. Luckily it was just rain that night but I was so close to the stage and band members (I was close enough to Kate Pierson and Fred Schneider that I could even see their earplugs) that if something hd happened that night, I would've been one of the first people impacted and killed.

Just horrific. I have a niece and nephew in that area, ripe ages for the concert; I got no phone calls last night so they must be okay.

I've gotta say, anyone who would get on that stage with those winds, hmmm. Not me. Certainly some of these stages at state fairs are permanent, this one obviously was not.

ANF, I can certainly understand you being freaked out.

My prayers are with the injured and the families of the dead.

That is unbelievable. Never seen anything like it. Within a month of the Ottawa Blues Festival stage collapsing just after Cheap Trick were on. I can imagine a serious structural re-design of these stages coming after this.

Thoughts go out to the friends and families of the victims.

^^Death Cab for Cutie(I think that was the band) has not recovered from the Ottawa disaster, they lost most of their equipment in the collapse and still aren't able to tour.

That is trivial of course compared to people getting killed.

I'll tell you one thing, living here if you are outside and you see a massive thunderhead, you run for cover immediately, and we get them all summer long so being outdoors for an event is always risky business.
