Re: The OFFICIAL Led Zeppelin Thread

Love Led Zepp. Would love to see Mr Page live! Dad saw them twice, Earls Court 1975 and Knebworth 1979.

He's a big Zeppelin fan as well as the rest of the family tree, he's very into Robert Plant's solo stuff over the years. Also saw The Firm? Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page as well as Page & Plant.

Your father certainly follows the lineage. I saw The Firm in 1986, Page on his Outrider Tour 1988, Page and Plant in 1995, Page with The Black Crowes, Plant's solo tours in 1988 and 1991.

On this date in 1969, Led-Zeppelin had a concert at the San Bernardino Swing Auditorium with Jethro Tull opening. Tickets were $4.50 or $5 at the door.

I saw John Paul Jones with Them Crooked Vultures, unfortunately!

I'd love to see Jimmy Page end of, but with the Black Crowes would have been insane. Or Aerosmith in the early 90's :omg:

By all accounts it was a wild experience being so many people present. Now I am not sure if you meant the concert or the video but on the latter there is a touching moment when the audience started serenading the band with "You'll Never Walk Alone" while waiting for their encores.
