The Rarest and/or Most Valuable Vinyl You Own?

^^I do think rare albums have value, but for me I buy records to play them not just to collect them or as an investment.

I have a few valuable ones myself, but I am not selling any of them just yet.

The rarest vinyl I could possibly get so far is Elf - Carolina Country Ball despite it is a second pressing and Trapeze - You Are The Music We're Just The Band.



The most valuable? I don't know, possibly Uriah Heep - Magician's Birthday and Look At Yourself. I paid £10 each for them.

I used to have a number of old picture discs. I'll have to poke around the intrawebs to see if I can find any pictures of at least some of the ones I had.


Edit: I did find this one right away. Pretty cool picture disc of W.A.S.P. - Animal (F**k like a Beast)

No clue what it's worth, but I'm sure it would be worth something.

Now that I look at it, that's two different picture discs. I know I have the codpiece one, not sure about the other one with the sawblade on it.

Not rare or most valuable to most people probably but a German white vinyl pressing of The Beatles "White Album"...

I don't have the largest vinyl collection, but the Michael Jackson "HIStory" box set from 1995 I have is pretty nice. I bought it for $15 at a used shop about a year before he died. Since he passed it frequently shows up for $99 and above on ebay as it wasn't given the biggest pressing as vinyl wasn't quite the hot format in 1995.

My brother had an English White vinyl of the White Album.

I've got one really nice album, I'll take some pictures of it and post them later today or tomorrow.

It is somewhat rare. Value if about $50 (used) to $200+ (new) I think it was a limited pressing.
