...yeah well it had to be done sooner or later!
Official Website
Ring Ring (1973)
Waterloo (1974)
ABBA (1975)
Arrival (1976)
ABBA: The Album (1977)
Voulez-Vous (1979)
Super Trouper (1980)
The Visitors (1981)
I was looking at another thread where they were refrenced as disco and someone else pointed out that they were not a disco band but a pop group. Me? I think ABBA was a GREAT pop group with epic songs that dabbled in the one or two disco tunes of the time as alot of bands did.
Hoping this thread will not only bring the ABBA fans into the house here, but will also allow others to hear MANY songs from their catalog that people are not aware of, or maybe they were but didn't know it was them.
So here we go from Sweden, Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog.
Fältskog & Ulvaeus were married as were Lyngstad & Andersson, the first marriage ending in '79 and the second in '81. After this the music changed a bit lyrically as it became more introspective.
ABBA has sold over 375 Million albums around the world (much praise to the fantastic songwriting of Björn & Benny) and they are in the top 4 biggest pop/rock groups OF ALL TIME!!
So let's get our Dancing Shoes On and have a party with
Agnetha
Björn
Benny
Anni-Frid
Waterloo
