These guys are an interesting case to me.

Hair metal and 80's rock fans like them pretty well. No brainer, right?

However, everybody I know who is actually into Christian music in general (not rock and roll) hate this band and don't even consider them to be a "real" Christian band. And I am referring to a large number of people who are friends or acquaintances. Not just 1-2 random people I know.

(For the record, I like them and I also liked Michael Sweet's solo albums).

@ Aeroplane that doesnt surprise me! Seems STRYPER had a mixed reception from metallers, the music press and....Christians

Those covers are great !!!Wow !! I just love that guitar sound Oz Fox gives "heaven and hell "...[of course you cant beat the original, but this is still great ]
Covers wise STRYPER have stayed as close as they can to the originals ... I think them doing KANSAS made me smile.
This has now become a "must have " album.....well done STRYPER !!!

I used to listen to Stryper a lot in the late eighties, I had To Hell With The Devil and In God We Trust. I haven't listened to them for so long and MP when you posted on the Best Scream thread it reminded me of how much I used to like them!

Still one of my favorite bands. I have seen them five times in concert and they have rocked each and every time.
