I saw his greatest hits album yesterday...but other than a quick look I wasn't tempted to pick it up.

Hot ladies in the clubs was part of the fun of the disco era..

I do have that Exile album and the Bee Gees as well, and no shame here, three beers and I'm ready for "Saturday Night Fever"...

I just remember learning to to The Hustle in P.E. to that ..



and Yeah The Exile song was a bit risque for a teenie weenie , disco was pretty sexual wasn't it ? ..BUT I loved that song !

The Bee Gees were a major influence in those days ..

Disco was just fun music..it got people out into the clubs and mingling
nothing wrong with that imo..


Disco /most of it/had alot of great bands/musicians

but I will always be a rocker at heart

My Brush With Disco (outside of hearing the music)

I actually took disco dance lessons. I'll explain.

I was young, 15 or so, and a buddy's mom had signed him up against his will to take lessons from the same teacher that his mom and dad were learning from. Cut to my buddy, Jeff, being dragged kicking and screaming to said lessons. Well his mom asks me to take them as well so Jeff will continue taking them. I say no. His mom says that she'll pay for them. I say no. His mom then says that there are alot of girls in the class. One in particular named Michelle, who I've had my eye on for the past school year. I was extremely shy when it came to girls and was very tempted as this would be a good way to talk to her. Still I said no. Jeff then starts pleading, begging, whining and whatnot for me to go so at least he will have some company in his misery. Still no. Then I come to find out from a different source that Michelle has hinted that she likes me and would be my dance partner at the lessons. Hey Now!

So I finally say yes and go to the lessons. Turns out that Jeff and I are the only guys in the class with about 10 girls! Jackpot!! And the teacher was a former Miss Ohio runner-up! Double Hey Now!! We're in heaven. And we actually had a good time at the lessons. But we didn't finish the class as it ran once a week all summer and football started workouts in late July. Thus ended Jeff and I's dancing career. Never used a single move I learned at any dance. And Jeff and I kept it very hush-hush. Somehow we got through HS without any of our other buddies finding out. As for Michelle, we dated for awhile and then moved on. But, and I can admit this now, it was kind of fun.

Liar Liar pants on fire......I bet you wouldn't be caught dead dancing to techno or hip hop

'm 53 in Feb and I DID dance to it...sure thing...NO DISCO for me though
