Graham Parsons
One day in 1973 while intoxicated Parsons revealed that when he dies he wanted to be cremated at Joshua Tree Park. Little did he know that 2 months later his life would end after a lethal combination of Alcohol & Morphine (enough to kill 3 people). Parson's father arranged for a burial in New Orleans but the body had disappeared from the L.A. Airport. His personal assistant & road manager stole the coffin,brought it to the Joshua Tree National Park, poured gasoline all over it, & ignited it.

As far as Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, & Richie Valens...The three went on a mid-west tour called "The Winter Dance Party". The bus was not prepared for the winter weather & the heating system failed. Holly's drummer suffered from a severe case of frostbite on his foot & was hospitalized leaving Holly & Valens taking turns filling in on drums. Holly was frustrated with the bus situation & chartered a 3 seat plane for he & his band.Valens never flown before so he & Tommy Allsup flipped a coin for the seat which Valens won. Big Bopper came down with the flu & Waylon Jennings gave up his seat for him. When Holly found out he said to Jennings "Well, I hope your ol' bus freezes up!" Jennings jokinkly replied "Well, I hope your ol' plane crashes!" (words that would haunt him)
