Just thinking of some songs that sound alike with similar riffs or melodies.

Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way and Steve Miller's The Stake

Deep Purple's Mary Long and Clapton's I Shot The Sherriff

Yardbird's Train Kept A Rollin' and Foghat's Honey Hush

And I just realized this. Sweet Home Alabama and Warren Zevon's Warewolves Of London share the same chord progression.

I think Ted Nugent recycles the Stranglehold riff/format about half a dozen times.

Tailgunner, Scream Dream, If You Can't Lick 'Em, Smokescreen etc..

Kid Rock actually put the two together into one song ("All Summer Long" from his most recent album)

Just heard that on the radio. Can't say I'm impressed though. Just not a fan of Kid Rock or sampled music for the most part. I think it's cool he embraces classic rock though. BTW he's in his 30's when is he gonna drop the "Kid" tag?

I remember the first time I heard Kingdom Come's Get It On. I was like, damn, I thought I knew every Zeppelin song.

I know nothing of chord progressions, or really any music terms, but there 's a point when I listen to Clapton's Let It Rain and my mind goes right into Starr's It Don't Come Easy.

It's either in the basic riff or chorus of Let It Rain. There's something very similar there.
