I like the Beatles "White Album" cover. I thought it was interesting that after the "Sgt. Pepper" cover they would go in the totally opposite direction for their next album. The worst Zep cover has to be "In Through the Out Door". Talk about overkill, weren't there 6 or 8 different versions of that cover?

There were six variations of the ITTOD cover, each depicting a different perspective of people inside the bar (for example, piano player perspective or bartender perspective), and they were encased in a brown paper bag-like cover that made it impossible to know which version you were getting. With that being their worst album I hardly consider the artwork worth the effort.

Two recent musical artists that are relevant to my recent buying or listening have given me two examples of atrocious album covers!

First:

I recently finally got an actual copy of Lady Gaga's second album. The regular edition on a Black Friday sale for 7 bucks. I held off because I wanted the special edition but I didn't buy it right off so it became rather pricey. Besides the extras the Special Edition cover had one extra advantage. Thanks to the beauty of cropping it didn't look like this retarded atrocity. Seriously, this ain't eccentric or artsy, it's cheesy and horrendous.

I still wish i had this version :uh:

At least that's kind of like rocker chick in some sort of way rather than oddly done bad photoshop motorcycle diva. :bonk:

Second:

I've been getting into Creed a little again specifically the "my Own Prison" album which reminds me they used to be pretty good. I always found the second album "Human Clay" to be a snoozer and "edgy" rock music for soccer Moms. Anyway, none of the music is nearly as bad as the chintzy album cover they had. To me it's an eyesore that looks like they started enrolling 10 year olds in designing their albums to save money except that young kids have an imagination which the cover is also devoid of. I've seen local bands that don't have a dime with covers less ghetto than this:
