Lucky! The only time I know of them visiting Adelaide is in support of AC/DC, and I couldn't get tickets

^^I agree 100% Tray, when I first heard the debut about two years ago they sounded like they stepped out of the early 70's to me, which is a Good thing.

I like Cosmic Egg as well Sweaty like Sal mentioned they spread out a bit and didn't just focus on the lead guitar as much.

im not a big fan of them, they just seem boring to me, other than that i don't have any real reason for not liking them

I don't know TL, I found it eminently refreshing to hear a band of young guys from Australia playing some smokin' old school rock and roll in the 2000's. They aren't claiming to be doing anything new, just having fun playing rock n' roll, and I enjoy listening to them.

yeah its nice to hear the rock and roll thing but if i wanna hear rock and roll i go to the 70's. there's something about the fact that they're just pumping out old school rock and roll that i just don't like

Opposite for me, I enjoy adding them to the mix for exactly that reason. I do know that some of the biggest touring bands down under were cover bands not too many years ago. One that comes to mind is a Doors tribute band, they were hugely popular for years. Just adds a little background as to why a band like Wolfmother pops up and plays the style of music they do.

The venue only held 300 people and it was absolutely packed but Hey ..... it was free! They sounded really good!!

I like the 70's and all the great stuff but Wolfmother are a breath of fresh air, I saw them play and they have so much energy and they have such a wide sound. I waited for the 2nd album and it was good, however the first album was soooo good it was hard to beat. I hope the 3rd will reward us all.

I hope they keep going as they are one of the best new bands to come out in years, long live rock n' roll.
