I have always found Rolling Stone magazine to be elitist and pretentious. Their polls are always way off from the opinions of fellow music lovers that I know, which makes me doubt their authenticity. Looking at the opinions expressed on this site, I don't think there are any fans of the magazine here. :gig

I agree with everything previously stated, but would like to add that they have become an angry, politically biased mouth piece for the liberal left. There's a guy where I work who leaves a stack of RS magazines in our depts break room from time to time. I try to ignore them but even the cover sometimes pisses me off, like this one for example:

I only look at the cover in the store if Paul is on it. :gig

A bit off topic, but did you get Uncut's Paul McCartney special? I bought it a while back. A good read with fresh reviews of all his solo albums and many interviews from the archives.

As for Rolling Stone, I've bought exactly one issue of that magazine in my life, which was the recent "country issue" with Miranda Lambert on the cover. I guess I'll end up buying the current Tom Petty special they've released as well.

I'll admit that I enjoy reading best off lists, be it “best albums ever”, “year-end lists” etc., but they should never be taken too serious.

I've never seen or heard of this periodical. :uh: Thanks for bringing it up though, I see that I can order it. :D
