Such a large list, great thread LOU/REALM, I like most of the bands mentioned, of course Nazareth, Jesus and Mary Chain, Ian Anderson and SAHB are just the icing on the cake for me.

Awwwwwww, I love The Proclaimers also. 500 Miles was and will now always be a classic for them. Its a lovely upbeat track, something to give you a lift

I loved Simple Minds, Jim Kerr definately one of the good things about Scotland.

Never been really much of a Rod Stewart fan but you cant knock his talent, I have enjoyed various tracks over the year but he isnt in my collection

There have been some great bands come out of Scotland over the years, and I think Marmalade definately deserve a mention here.

Who can remember Big Country? Awesome in their time too.

Im also liking Wolfstone and think they certainly deserve a mention here also.

I love Franz Ferdinand. I went to see their Show when the came to Chile last year. I believe Angus Young and his brother (AC/DC) were also born in Scotland, weren't they?
