It's tough to be one of the only people my age around here that listens to music that actually has substance, or is even past the point of mediocre. Luckily, my best friend has a similar taste in music, although I argue with him over Pink Floyd and The Beatles all the time. :heheh:

So he says the Beatles are better than the Floyd?? NO chance!

I'm a huge Floyd fan, always up for chatting bout their music and what not. Not sure how deep you've delved in to their catalogue, but I can make some reccommendations if you want.
Ask me anything!! If it's Floyd related I should know the answer! :)

I like some of the same music, Sublime being one of my all time favorites. I have almost 40 of their albums, bootlegs, and live shows.

If you like them check out:

Shortbus
Falling Idols
The Vandals
Pennywise

these guys were from the same area, played in bands together, cover each others songs, etc.

Great to see another fan.

Younger classic rocker here...been a classic rock fan since I was a little kid, lucky to have parents with good taste in music (although my dad is spotty...he loves the song Payphone :oyea:).

Anyway, my favorites would include:

- Pink Floyd (undisputed favorite band)
- Billy Joel
- Supertramp
- Eagles
- The Beatles
- Bad Company
- Journey
- Rush
- Sublime
- Nirvana
- Rage Against the Machine
- The Doors
- Led Zepplin
- Queen
- Styx

And a ton more. Really, nearly any rock band from the 60s/70s I will listen to (except Chicago...not really a fan). Love most singer-songwriters, too, like Croce, Taylor, etc.

Anyway, looking forward to discussing music here. I'm hoping to make this my second most visited forum (big hockey fan, I visit HFBoards a ton haha).

VERY impressed with your resume...especially singer songwriters, hockey, Rush, Billy Joel, etc....you should have fun here sorry about your spotty dad, that's funny, :oyea: though at just 16 years old, acne may still be lurking waiting to pounce, so give the old guy a break!!!

Hockey fan from Jersey? Devils fan right? I'm a Caps fan.

Nice to meet you.
