I rarely go to concerts preferring to just listen to the records although I was tempted out of my flat for the first time back in July 1981 when RAINBOW on their European tour promoting the Difficult To Cure album with Joe Lynn Turner on vocals and of course with 'the man in black' Ritchie Blackmore on electric guitar were appearing in London a mile down the road from me at the Finsbury Park Astoria renamed the RAINBOW during the 1970s & 1980s.

At one point during the set Ritchie got annoyed when during the opening delicate guitar notes and chords to the intro to Catch The Rainbow some of the audience down at the front of the stage wouldn't be quiet so he played a quick scramble of notes on the neck his strat and also pointed down at these people to SHUT UP!!!!. After which Ritchie continued the intro to Catch The Rainbow once again..

Depends on what you mean...

My first concert (live music, period) was Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and then a few years later I saw both Star Wars and Star Trek in concert.

However, my first ROCK concert was Elton John in 2019 (I consider this my first concert, since it was a rock concert)
