Invocator(Esbjerg)/Weave The Apocalypse(1993)
Invocator was an early progressive thrash metal band from Denmark that was formed in 1986 under their original name Black Creed. They recorded a couple of demo tapes and played gigs with Edge Of Sanity and Entombed before signing a deal with the Swedish label Black Mark. Their debut album "Excursion Demise" sold around 10000 copies in Europe. After the second album they opened up for Paradise Lost on their European tour in 1994. They broke up in 1995 but in 2000 the band's founder Jacob Hansen reformed the band with a new line-up. The band has been rather quite until early August 2002 when they were reported to be in the middle of recording a new album. They also signed a new record deal with the Italian Scarlet Records.
