-17 Celsius with blowing snow...off to shovel again but this is not unusual March is unpredictable at best and better to get this out of the way early rather than go through it later.

Have to say I'm impressed with my young neighbours who come from Everton. Today we had about 10 inches of snow and it's -15 Celsius and she's out shoveling, when her husband is home he takes care of it but he works out of town a lot. They have relatives in Houston Texas and spend a couple weeks there every year but when I asked them where they would rather live the whole family loves it here, cold and all.

Of course they might change their mind if we had another 3 weeks of -40 Celsius like 2009, that woke up a lot of folks here who'd never experienced a routine cold snap that oldtimers like me grew up with.

I'm back home in Adelaide safe and sound now, have had a great time with my family and closest friends so far and on Monday I start work on going out and finding work!
