Re: Daily, Nightly and Ever So Rightly II *Chat Thread*

Maybe 3 months ago, I got my kids laptops for their birthday (twins). They need them for college anyhow.

So, they cleared all their stuff out of the 'house' computer. And since the Missus has had a laptop for a while, I suddenly found myself with my own pc and 67% free space.

So, I set about streamlining my music, making it neater and whatnot.

Then the unthinkable happened. I accidentally deleted my entire library. Permanently.

I called the computer geek in my family (every family has one), and when he finally stopped laughing, he told me its terminal.

So, I've been uploading my cds for about 3 months now. A chuck here, a chunk there.

Downloading today, you know what I discovered? I have 11 John Mellencamp cds. I did not know that.

Snowed all day, heavy and wet and now it's almost all melted.

-5 Celsius, so frost tonight, but sunny and +4 C for tomorrow, so they tell us.

^^I think I have 2 John Mellancamp CD's...;)

I have all my files on external drives for safety, I upload them as needed and just warm up the drives once a month and make sure they are okay.

But every Hard Drive made will fail eventually, so whether it's an accidental click of the mouse or equipment failure chances are everyone of us will experience a loss of data from our machines.(Even the "cloud" servers will fail, I don't have any more faith in them than my own HD's.)

Re: Rate The Song Above You II

Very good AOR ballad. I really love that song. It's a one of the best of Bad English's, IMO. 10/10.

Re: What's Your Weather? Part II

It's been nice and chilly for the last few weeks. I couldn't be happier with this weather.
