Re: Daily, Nightly and Ever So Rightly II *Chat Thread*

^^I wouldn't get over excited about that Nolo, the US is almost split 50/50 on that issue and if Obama had to do a 180 and come out against same sex marriage to win the election he will do so without hesitation.

But the numbers are slowly changing, within 10 years it most likely will be legal in the progressive States anyway.

LG, with how many people seem to be so terribly against it (Looking at you NC) it seems like this statement would be more like a bullet to the head than the desperate plea to get votes.

My friends phone has been off / dead for the last two days. Either that or shes just blowing me off.
Work sucked and a friend quit mid shift because of the incompetent managers we have.

Not sure I follow you Mud...I don't know what North Carolina did but I expect they would rather burn the state to the ground than allow same sex marriage.

^^I am not surprised, but Washington, Oregon, California and a few other states will most likely allow it so all is not lost.

People who make their choice will simply move to wherever they can be happy.

Off topic but we would already have legalized marijuana here if not for interference from a foreign government.

I just see it as religious individuals using their religion to justify their bigotry. I do not see how two individuals of the same sex marrying really effects those who bitch about it.

Moving, meh....... not really the answer to the problem of homophobia IMO.

Oh I agree. I think the reason it is not legalized here is because they can not find a way to tax it. Yet they'll sell the hell out of some pharmaceuticals that have side effects worse than the symptoms they are made to treat.

You are probably right,,,growing up we were sort of homophobic because society hadn't accepted that lifestyle choice. But over the last few decades we have come a long way, myself I don't let it bother me, if two consenting adults want to get married that's their business.

We had a plan and everything in place but alas the threat of sanctions/embargo/invasion stopped us dead in our tracks. All over a smokeable beer,,,:sm: Oh well there is hope in ten years it might actually happen, the last generation is slowly losing their grip and when We are in command then it will be legalized.

So let it be written,,,so let it be done.:grinthumb
