Their best album ever. It was earth shattering when it came out :bow::bow:

Tis true it was earth shattering, I remember... 1978. I saw a small
pie slice page ad in Rolling Stone Magazine and was intrigued... so
I went out and bought the damn thing. Friends had come down from
Wake Forest shortly after that, and they loved music, loved to sit
around, imbibe in the vices , and have a great time. My best
friend (still alive-lol) and I already knew how great the Dire Straits
lp was, so we put it on for the WF Deacons music snobs... and boy
did their faces light up, ears gone wild. Immediately too.

Those were the days... :grinthumb

now playing: some Faces and a shot of rocks rye /; {

What's an ancient audio crazed sound barrier breaker to do... why the Stones are in order,
of course. It's a SHM too, other than actual vinyl, the sound is quite awesome.

Oh yeah... it's a double shot too, so is the rye. Hunkering down for some wet balmy
cold weather... the crock pot is active, the chili is workin'. So is the audio gear...

PLAY THIS :cheers::rock: LOUD

Got a lot of this anthology stuff back in the 90's when it was dirt cheap
and remastered, a big thing in those days. When I dig thru stuff and
find these I feel lucky. This is a nice and worthy package.

Almost all of Mountain Climbing and Flowers of Evil are on here, and
that is what I will listen to. West Bruce and Laing coming up later.
Leslie West got some monster sound from his Flying V guitars.
Pete Townshend liked that tone too. So Leslie West was asked
to come to the studio and help the band with those monster
licks on Who's Next... pretty sure his stuff was used on the release.
