^^^I have to play this when Tracey's out .. she can't deal with Dave Byron's voice.
Coffee .. working nights all week on the railway, busting for a beer .. roll on sat.
long winded, but excellent drum work 8.5/10
The sound of the sea pounding against the rocks
The wind howling across the grassland
The smell of salt water and the sound of sea birds
The stars glimmering at night
The faint lights of fishing villages in the distant horizon....
Talked jazz all early eve between beers, so had to pop some on... fabulous stuff.
Dave Holland is one great bass player. Cheers and have a great wknd...
One of their lesser-known hits. At least I think it was a hit. Interesting that the other guitarist sings on this one as I believe the guy in black is their main singer as he did lead vocals for "Dear God", their biggest hit. XTC were a really talented band but they hardly ever get airplay, which is a damn shame. 8/10
I posted this one before but I can't remember when...hopefully it wasn't last week.
Plucky, rolly polly Dead from the great year of 1972; moving into jazzy terrain
around this time preceding the great experimental period of 73-74.
