lol Go figure, 2 of the last 3 projects Metallica have had some sort of involvement in were turds for albums. They gotta make something particularly good to make up for their last decade.

Speaking of Metallica did either of you like Lords of Summer the new tune?

Honestly, I didn't think it was bad, but I also didn't think it was as great as some people made it out to be. To me, it sounded like they tried to take about the 10 greatest sounds/riffs/beats from 1984 to 1998 and mix them all up into one big long song. It's almost convoluted. I'd rather have one good song that sounds like another good song than to have one song sound like a bunch of other songs combined.

I dunno, does that make sense?

I've not been around much lately, listening to it now. If I did listen to it on the Metallica thread for some reason I don't remember - either an age thing or I'd been on the sherry...

Yeah I just checked the Metallica thread and I think it was first posted back in March.

I think you can blame it on "aged sherry" (iztheresuchathing?)
