This is an old fashioned blues-rock album on which Leslie West proves you cannot keep a good man down. It's reassuring to hear him growling and playing just as he did in the seventies/eighties:

Spirits Having Flown is a good album, it has Tragedy and Too Much Heaven. I suppose of all the Bee Gees' songs and imagery this is the most sent up by comedians. After the success of Saturday Night Fever the Bee Gees were seen as fair game, but they had the last laugh.

Yes they did!! I like the 60's material sooo much more...but these albums are damn good in their own right.

I think you would like the bluesy soulful feel of the album, although it is heavy enough for the headbangers. The production is really good and it is his best album in donkeys' years.

The sixties and early seventies albums by Three Dog Night are the only ones I know. I don't think I have heard anything by them after Joy to the World and the Naturally album.
