everything's broken, and my Stacys are soaking wet
Slightly overlong (I usually skip "Beat of the Night" & "Good Boys in the Wrong), but brilliant - and, somewhat over-looked, album. Post the gradual decline of The Rats and then Live Aid, there was probably an image problem - or it wasn't marketed well enough? Picked it up in a cheap cassette rack in Lancaster - got played for ages in the car, before buying the CD more recently. Keep trying with his later stuff, but nothing seems as good (or coherent, complete) as this. Maybe Dave Stewart's influence helped (he was also involved with Tom Petty's Southern Accents)?
