My fav from JT. Guitarist Mick Abrahams left to form Blodwyn Pig. They released two albums. Heavy jazzy blues rock. 'Ahead Rings Out' is superb.

Yeah, thanks for reminding me about that.. Great band!

Disagreements about the music with Ian is one reason why Mick left, I imagine. I'm a fan of just about everything Tull has put out though, and Martin Barre was a good replacement for Mick.

I've got Blodwyn Pig's Ahead Rings Out and the follow up album as well although I haven't listened to either albums for over a decade maybe longer?.

Blodwyn Pig maybe a bit second division in rock terms and probably in the same league as Tony McPhee's Groundhogs but that isn't meant to be a put down of either band because the Groundhogs were hot hot hot!!.

Never heard of them BUT with a name and a name of a album plus album cover like that from the year 1980 playing 'proggy hard rock' can't be all that bad.
