Re: The Official Van Halen Thread

VH , my other fave from the 80's. Matthias and Eddie were my two favorite guitarists from that era. Saw them in 91. Tight but Eddie didn't move around much. Nailed every note though. Never saw em live with Dave. Was going to get a ticket for the reunion but after the Wolfie debacle and seeing some subpar performances on the tube...and complaints about the shows...i skipped out. All the Dave era studio Albums are GREAT ! Fair warning is a masterpiece !

I love Van Halen. My dad and I used to listen to them a while back. He's got a pretty good setup, so it got loud in our basement, especially with this:

Nope, this is a first.

Oh wow. That's the most shocking thing I've heard on here since Sunny told us that she had never heard of KISS before joining the forum. :heheh:

But you really are in for a treat, Riff. Van Halen (at least with David Lee Roth at the helm) is just straight up, kickass hard rock band that is right up your alley. Eddie's riffing guitar work, Alex's big drum sound (that is largely from him not using the snare all that much), Michael Anthony's competent bass playing and fantastic backing vocal harmonies, and the extravagance and showman ship of David Lee Roth. Truly a band like no other. :grinthumb
