Re: Uriah Heep

Started listening to the Conquest album today, and I was instantly hooked when No Return started and ended. Such a really cool, classic feel to it. The vocals are pretty fantastic as well. Definitely a band i'll be listening to regularly.

Nice to see you enjoying one of the most underrated bands in modern music history P&C.

I don't have to post my favorite two albums MP has already done that.

Demon's & Wizard's and The Magician's Birthday are still my picks of the litter.:D

You'll have to give some love to Abominog and Head First, assuming you liked Equator. Granted Heep's 80s output gets slagged off for being pretty standard 80s AOR fare, but the songwriting is certainly of a high-quality (Well, maybe not so much "Hot Persuasion" :heheh:).

:grinthumb Definitely moving up to be one of my favorite bands to listen to.

I'm still looking into getting more stuff from them. The 4 I posted were to jump start my Uriah Heep listening. But I can definitely say that i'll be getting everything they've ever done.

Quote From Paul Stanley on Uriah Heep

"They were incredibly professional,

and so consistent that their worst nights were excellent and their best were tremendous"

I'm a bad, bad boy and I tell you why.

Here's the live album from 1973, right?

I never listened to it.

I shall be punished now.

^^^That's ok, Nolo! :) There's so much music to try to listen to, and on many occasions not enough time within the day, or night, to listen to a lot of albums. But to make sure you don't repeat that little oversight...:spank2 :D

The Uriah Heep Live is a fantastic live album, which has great performances with what many UH fans consider to be the best and also favorite line up, and also arguably at the height of their popularity, which I do agree with, too!
