Mick Tucker (from Sweet; I seen Sweet open for Journey in '79 & I never was much into drum solos but he had one of the best solos I'd seen)

...& even though he isn't in my Top 10 when it comes to drummers I always have to mention Michael Giles for his drum sound on King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man". I've heard many great drummers play this tune Bill Bruford,Jerry Mercer,& Ted Mckenna to name a few but no one can come close to Giles sound on that original version
