My solution-if you don't like a band, don't listen to them.
I don't like U2 or Coldplay, but I don't care if they break up or not--either way I am not listening to them.

I buy music by all those bands but they aren't near my top tier. If they broke up it would have little impact on me but like the others I don't wish for a bands breakup. What kind of pompous ***** wants something that someone else harmlessly enjoys gone! Besides who is anyone to tell a band they should stop playing what they love as well. Hell, Rolling Stone probably would make the list of magazines people want gone and they are probably the same type of people who would agree with the sentiment of thinking bands should disappear based on their opinion! :heheh:

:wa I had to laugh when I saw Nickelback at No 1. I really don't get this thing about people hating them and saying they are 'Not Rock 'n Roll'. There's obviously a huge fan-base out there going to their gigs and buying the music. It's all about individual tastes within the 'Rock' genre.

I saw Nickelback once and they put on a good show.I like them better than some of these bands that the critics love

I agree. I hate bands like Nickelback and Limp Bizkit as frankly I think both suck ass but if others enjoy them who the heck is anyone to say they should break up and ruin that for them?

I wouldn't expect Rolling Stone readers to like Nickelback...they are too busy reading articles about Miley Cyris.
