DARK STAR

Christian Hayes
Dave Francolini
Laurence OKeefe

DARK STAR were an English indie rock band whose music mixed psychedelica with a dub undertow and noisy effects =laden guitar.
The 3 musicians had previously been together in a band named LEVITATION.

These guys werent around long enough before they split up.....which is a real shame. They released just one album "Twenty twenty sound" in 1999

Dust. A fantastic proto-metal/hard rock band from the early '70's. Drummer Marc Bell became latter known as Marky Ramone.

Here's another homegrown band I grew up with, they never got the status of The Guess Who or BTO but The Stampeders released some really good songs over their career.

Probably their biggest hit song that most everyone knows, Sweet City Woman.

Rich Dodson - Guitar & Vocals
Kim Berly - Drums Percussion & Vocals
Ronnie King - Bass Guitar & Vocals

Great Canandian rockers LG. There first couple of albums were somewhat country rock oriented, but thier next three were quite a bit more hard rockin'. here's one of my fav. tunes from the band:

And remember this one:

Yeah the Stampeders had a bunch of good songs over the years, and "Backstage Pass" is a fabulous live record. Considering when it was recorded it has amazing production quality, I wore my vinyl out decades ago but found a CD and it is almost as good as the old vinyl.:D
