I daresay Queensryche had a nice run of albums in a row as well.

When it comes to Megadeth I actually think they achieved 7 with Cryptic Writings also.

There's some killer gear cropping up, the Beatles and Priest choices are the ones I would have gone for.

Here's my favourite three from Uriah Heep and it just so happens they run back to back.

Have to add some Texas flavor to this thread, that Lil' Ole Band from Tejas had a good run in the 70's. Hard to leave Tres Hombres off this list which I like more than Fandango but the OP says pick "3" so here they are.

Fandango 1975

Tejas 1976

Deguello 1979

I have been tempted to get a new pressing of the 180 gram vinyl edition of Deguello, but the old copy I inherited from my brother is in excellent condition and the cover is better.

I have no idea why they changed the cover art, look for yourself it's not even close to the quality of the original.

^^^ I would have stuck "Tres Hombres" in anyway LG and to eck with Sox's rules :heheh: But yeah a hard one to leave out. :cheers2

Right well my three from Tull and it's the heavy folk influenced period 1977, 1978 and 1979. I reckon at that time no band did it better.

I was SO tempted to post those three JT albums myself, but figured you would get around to them eventually.

As far as ELO goes, Eldorado, Face the Music and A New World Record would be my choice for best 3 recordings in a row.;)
