I still haven't picked up this album. I keep forgetting to even look for it when I'm at the local music/cd -selling establishment.

Just watched this video. two things I found about it as I've never heard this song before now.
#1) This song is rocking! Great beat, great guitar work. Sammy's vocals sound as good now as they ever have. Pretty amazing for his age (dude just turned 64 a week ago) to be able to sing like he did 20-30 years ago.
#2) this is a very somber song. Pay attn to the lyrics, watch the video. Some may only partially watch it and think that this is the wrong venue for the message and at first glance, perhaps it is. But again, watch the whole thing. Watch to the end and see the message at the end. Doesn't matter if you agree, acknowldge or deny, but at least see the point they were getting at, which may not be completely clear until the very end.

^^ With you on the first time as well Lynch.. It was here posted by 70's awhile back.. When I had the chance to listen to it I passed because I am going to buy the CD and didn't want to ruin the occasion by previewing all the songs through my computer speakers..
But wanted to listen to the whole thing on the Big Boy system so still trying to find a place that carry's this CD in my town.. A big Nay so far..:mad
I just recently open a small account at the bank to use for any purchases on Amazon and anyday I'll get my card so that I can order CD's.
I don't like to give my primary account info to web site since I don't trust them due to hackers..
About the song.. Yes!! They chose a current situation to write about.. We as a country have lost that barter with each other system that was around in the days of old..
I find it more and more that people lock themselves in their homes and hide away from the world.
Plus the number of actual homeless people are swamped by the low life panhandlers who do not want to work and just live off everybody else by begging for money.. Sad indeed.
I would give the guy a chance that has the sign that say's I'll work for my meal rather than the one guy who just holds up and homeless sign and is dressed like he is ready to go to church..
