1989, The Elvis Presley Autoland Museum opened at Graceland. The museum contained over 30 cars which were owned by Presley including his famous Pink Cadillac, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Stutz Blackhawks, a 1975 Dino Ferrari, a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, and the red MG that Elvis drove in the film Blue Hawaii.

2005, Pink Floyd announced they would reunite with former bassist Roger Waters, who left the band in 1985, on July 2nd for the Live 8 London concert. This would be the first time the band had played together as a quartet since The Wall tour in 1981.

1965 - The Rolling Stones released one of the all-time most popular rock tunes, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." The song was first played only on pirate radio stations as its lyrics were considered too sexually suggestive but it was later embraced by radio stations and the world. "Satisfaction" was added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress in 2006.

2015- Dave Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg during a Foo Fighters show in Gothenburg, Sweden. He received medical attention but returned to finish the show, propped up while someone held his leg. The rest of Foo Fighters’ European tour was cancelled while Grohl underwent surgery, but the tour resumed on July 4 in Washington, D.C., with Grohl performing from a custom-made guitar throne. Grohl’s vision for the throne’s design came to him as he recovered from the operation to repair his leg.

Produced and primarily recorded by Jeff Lynne alone, guest musicians on the album included George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Keyboardist Richard Tandy is the only other member of ELO to appear on the album.
