Thin Lizzy and Queen were on tour of the US in 1977 in support of these two albums. Johnny the Fox is my all time favorite album. It doesn't get better for me. Queen's News of the World is one of the first albums I ever purchased.

Johnny the Fox featured "Don't Believe a Word", the heart pounding "Massacre" and the funk-driven "Johnny the Fox Meets Jimmy the Weed" amongst other great songs.

News of the World featured the stadium rock combo "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions" and "Sheer Heart Attack".

Johnny the Fox. I do like Queen, but I think I would choose any Thin Lizzy album over most Queen albums (except perhaps Sheer Heart Attack, which has Brighton Rock).

I always liked Jim Fitzpatrick's artwork. He is distinctive and you can recognise his work anywhere, a bit like Joe Petagno.

Had to weigh it, but Queen barely edged out Lizzy

In an ideal world, I would combine them and call the band Thin Queen Lizzy, and the album News Of Johnny The Fox
