What was the very first song that you heard from any particular band?


I'll begin with the first song I heard from a few of my long time favorite bands...



Spirit - I Got A Line On You

Aerosmith - Dream On




Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen




Uriah Heep - Gypsy

In the 60's The Chipmunks were the first band I ever heard. We had all of their records. My favorite album was always 'Chipmunk A Go Go' (Simon Chipmunk pulled off a ripping guitar solo on Henry the VIII) but it was 'The Chipmunks Sing the Beatles Hits' which was the first one I heard.


A year or so later down the line I greatly appreciated the Royal Guardsmen & Snoopy vs the Red Baron became my favorite song

There's quite a few bands I really like that I could never in a million years remember the first song I heard by them since my dad was playing their music from when I was a wee tot

Some bands I just can't remember, but there are some I can... MP introduced me to these two bands years ago, and I was blown away by both of these tracks!!!

I freaked when I saw this AWESOME video! yeah!


First Zappa song I ever heard actually on the radio, and had to find the album where it came from, which lead to my love of Zappa's quirky music~

These were the first three songs I ever knew by name, and as far as I know the first three songs I liked. Never got much into Five Man's other material (still love that song), but about 7 years later I would get heavily into Pink Floyd and The Doors.
