Re: The SWEET

Magic, That stuff is pretty cool! I never heard it. Although I may have heard it because I did see Sweet in 1979 opening for Journey & they were great. I'm one that hated drum solos when seeing a band live but Mick Tucker from Sweet put on one hell of a drum solo that night.I was pretty amazed

Re: The SWEET

Yea, I saw them open for Journey, too. Then bought this album after the concert.

This album doesn't sound "Hair Metal" at all.

Re: The SWEET

I have "Cut Above The Rest" and I don't think it's up to par with Sweet's earlier work. I think it's because the lineup changed... =/

Re: The SWEET

I have to disagree, Cosmic. This album has excellent production and is more progressive than anything else, which seemed to suit the band, IMO.

Re: The SWEET

Well Magic, you love your progressive the most, whereas the aggressive guitar work and soaring vocals are what I missed on that album. I'll take my glam Sweet over progressive Sweet any day.

yep! I have to say, that is what makes this so cool, they appealed to such a wide audience.
