Re: Rolling Stones!!!

Mick Jagger wants the government to experiment with drugs – by legalising them all.

The Rolling Stone superstar believes that this controversial plan should first be tested on the Isle Of Man, of all places.

Quoth Jagger: “The whole question of legalising drugs is fraught. You usually try these things out in very small places. You know, like you try a new product out in a small kind of society or an island somewhere.

“And in England they always try out new mobile phones on the Isle of Man. They’ve got a captive society.”

Doubtless Jagger’s views will have his fellow MCC members spluttering into their gin and tonics!

His comments come as the Stones’ classic 1972 album Exile On Main Street is reissued in an expanded, deluxe format. You can read the whole story behind the album in the current issue of Classic Rock, on sale now.

Mick is correct. Legalize the drugs and you'll put the crooks out of business and save $billions in drug law enforcement costs.

What's almost incomprehensible now is that back in 1964 parents thought that the Stones were harbingers of the apocalypse. :bonk:

Re: The Official Rolling Stones Thread!!!

I love the story told by Keith about a run in between Mick and Charlie.

"I had taken Mick out for a drink in Amsterdam, so at 5 in the morning he came back to my room. He's drunk by now and Mick drunk is a sight to behold. Charlie was fast asleep. "Is that my drummer? Why don't you get your arse down here". Charlie, dressed in a Savile Row suit, tie, shoes, shaved, came down, grabbed Mick and gave him a right hook - boom - and said "Don't you ever call me "your drummer" again. You're my fu-k-ng singer". :lmao:

If you don't know the blues... there's no point in picking up the guitar and playing rock and roll or any other form of popular music.

The way I heard the story was that Mick was all drunked up and started to call for his "drummer boy" right below Charlie's hotel window! A very sober Charlie was not at all amused.
