Didn't know that. I just knew he was on all the vids. I really never followed QR that closely. I only had the first tape. I didn't like Kevin Dubrow because I knew Motley hated him, and I was a Crew fan then.

I didn't know that about Chuck Wright myself :omg:

Yeah, Chuck recorded bass for a few songs on Metal Health, some of which were later rerecorded by Rudy. But not all of them. It gets a little confusing because Rudy was involved with the group, left the group, Chuck came in and started working with them, Rudy came back and was designated the full-time bass player but Chuck still remained on the outer fringes of the group.

Kevin DuBrow and Sarzo hated one another, so he liked to keep Chuck close by. Chuck has always said Kevin called him almost daily to bitch about Rudy. Before his passing, Kevin used to say he always told Chuck to keep himself available because Rudy wasn't going to be in the band much longer.

What I can tell you with certainty is.....

1. Chuck Wright is the one playing bass on the final versions of Bang Your Head/Metal Health and Don't Wanna Let You Go. That's what everyone acknowledges, though depending on who you talk to, he may be on the final versions of more songs than that.

2. Chuck Wright also played bass on one or two songs for Condition Critical that he reportedly didn't receive credit for.

3. Wright also did background vocals for numerous songs on both of those albums.

Might I ask about your thoughts on that album they did w/ the guy from Rough Cutt on vocals?

QR is my second favorite Quiet Riot album(after "Metal Health")!! A great piece of work,it had a good blues metal feel to it along the lines of Whitesnake!!! I wish they had gotten that lineup back. :grinthumb

One of their better albums. In a lot of ways, it was better than Condition Critical and certainly better than Guilty Pleasures (2001) which I believed to be their worst record.

If people want to listen to post-Metal Health Quiet Riot, though, I'd recommend their 1990's records such as Terrified or Down to the Bone long before anything else.

PAUL SHORTINO, SEAN MCNABB To Perform With QUIET RIOT In Las Vegas - May 10, 2011
This Saturday, May 14 at the Sunset Station Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, vocalist Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, THE CUTT, BADD BOYZ, SHORTINO) and bassist Sean McNabb will join QUIET RIOT on stage to perform the song "Stay With Me Tonight" from the band's 1988 fourth album, "QR". Drummer Frankie Banali states, "Paul, Sean and I have not played this song together since 1989 in Tokyo, Japan!"

"QR" is the only QUIET RIOT album which features Shortino on lead vocals and McNabb on bass. It is also the only QUIET RIOT album which does not feature the late Kevin DuBrow on lead vocals or any other then-surviving original members.

QUIET RIOT's current lineup includes the San Diego, California-based vocalist Mark Huff, who succeeded DuBrow.
