Better to have no reunion than to reunite and do tours of potentially mediocre shows especially if one of the members doesn't really want to do it. Don't do it for the sake of it.

As tempting as it would be I don't really think any of those guys are really up to play Led Zeppelin tunes. Not only is it physically impossible for Plant to make the same vocalizations he did in the 70s but Page has gotten (I'm sorry) kind of lazy and I really don't know what JPJ has been doing. Of the three I would imagine he'd be the most able for the job but I don't think even a 70s JPJ could carry the whole band.
I've heard some damn good tribute bands that usually have the vocals as the weak link. Say what you will about Plant he is damn near impossible to really duplicate. Even for Plant.

**** Glastonbury. You can't buy tickets for it as they go on sale and sell out before the line-up is announced. It was bad enough some of the people on the guestlist for the 02 2007 show. This would be worse plus 200,000 hipster twats.

It would be such a waste for Led Zeppelin to play there. Just do Knebworth or Wembley Stadium in the UK then some mega stadiums in the States.

Plant was lucky to get half of the songs sung from the one reunion concert a few yrs back. His voice can't hack doing the stuff he did years ago and anyone thinking he could is living in a dream world. I think that this is the biggest reason he's never wanted a full-on reunion, he knows he can't sing that stuff anymore.

Anyway, I'd bet that there'll NEVER be a true reunion tour, ever

I tell you, it would be cool to hear what new songs (or even covers) they might come up with.

I mean, why the hell not? Who would be losing anything by just trying?

I always have faith in people who have done good music to make good music. If it doesn't work...who cares?

Seven years removed from when they last played together with Jason Bonham on the drums. Plant doesn't want the night after night toil of screaming. An old lion who doesn't want to roar as much because his vocals are shot. He prefers smaller venues where he doesn't have to strain just to appease the masses. Page's playing has atrophied from non activity. His last foray with Coverdale was his best after the band's demise and that seemed like an eternity ago. Jones? He's the one that's unaffected by time and is content to do musical explorations other than the hard rock genre.

It would be a miracle for them to even attempt it. They're done...been done as a unit since July 7, 1980. Would I like to see them take one more shot at it? Their personalities are different now and have outgrown each other to an extent. Plant just doesn't have the patience for the other two or for the weighty expectations of the band's overwhelming shadow.

I'd argue that the live album he did with the Black Crowes was rock solid. But otherwise, I agree with everything GCC said.
