A new revamped version of the band with all new members, personally picked by Rick Medlocke himself. In the process of recording a new album now.

Thanks for the news.
I always have reservations when a band's name gets reused again and again.
But then again, the great man "Rick Medlocke" hand picked the new members himself. So, I will definitely be looking forward to the new material.

Rickey needs to be in it.I am sure he can do Skynyrd and Blackfoot

I wondered what happened to Charlie Hargrett and Greg T.Walker

This is strange, me and Sweaty went to see Blackfoot just a few months ago and the band were kicking. Greg and the guys put on a great show ???

It's like hand picking new guys to be the Monkees.

Why don't they just get a new name!! Makes better sense to have a new name.


@ Sox.....Charlie and the boys were given a "Cease and Desist" order. From What I gather, Rickey put a stop to them touring as Blackfoot.

^^^ That's a shame Magic because they were in top form at The Flowerpot in Derby at the beginning of November the place was heaving. I can't see what the problem is Rickey was doing fine with Skynyrd last time I saw them.

Let me get this straight ... Rickey Medlocke put together a band he's calling Blackfoot the same name as the band he started in the 70's but he's not playing in it? There's something so NOT RIGHT about that!
