You can't go wrong with them, I have all their original albums and then I got Solomon's Seal which was supposed to be a lost album, a great bunch of musicians. Try and catch them live, they are still touring and doing festivals, not sure who is in the band right now. I have seen them a couple of times and was lucky enough to catch the original line up.

You don't see many bands like this getting the recognition they deserve now, they tend to be popular in certain circles.

I will look up their official site and see if they're coming to Northern Ireland or close to here any time soon. I know there's a few still a few original members in the group still touring as Jacqui McShee's Pentangle.
Have you heard their 'Live 1994' album Sweaty? I can't find a link anywhere to listen to it before I would consider buying it.

I know they tour under that name, can't say I have heard that live album, I haven't got any of the albums that don't have original members, maybe I should listen to some of them...

I have listened to all of the latter albums now Sweaty and they're nothing like their early work.

The latter albums have a completely different sound and feel than the early ones. They have went for a more commercial sound. The Jacqui McShee's Pentangle albums are the same.

One day I will give them a listen, I tend to find the first album is the best and I do buy a lot of first albums by many bands and then leave the other albums till I see them cheap. With Pentangle I like all their original stuff so got all their early albums.

Didn't see a thread for this awesome band. Some of my favorite tunes by them are: Light Flight, Once I Had A Sweetheart, and Wedding Dress.
