Soot and Stars
I AM SOOT!
Five For Fighting
Five For Fighting, the hockey coined alias for talented songwriter Joan Ondrasik, may be known for sugary radio ballads but the songwriter goes stretches beyond what most people would think. Stretched beyond "Superman" and "100 Years" are songs that are a little more raw and some that are just bizarre in a good way. Joan is a underrated singer songwriter and talented pianist that I think will be an enduring songwriter for many decades.
I own these titles by him:

Here are my favorites:
Favorite Pop Singles:
Easy Tonight
(Just great pop melody and a chorus)
Two Lights
Favorite Album Ballad:
Jainy
(The song that made me love Five For Fighting, beautiful but dark subject matter)
Favorite Strange Tracks:
Policeman's Xmas Party
(*** Anyone?)
Micheal Jordan
(Creepy Obsession Song)
These are some highlights for me! I think this artist gets lumped into certain categories unfairly when he's truly a master of his craft. If he ever stops making albums he'd be the perfect go to songwriter for other artist!

Have you heard Jainy before?
